Plain Jane Sour Space Candy

Sour Space Candy is a deliciously bright and uplifting strain of hemp that's sure to please any fan of strong CBD bud. It was created by combining Sour Tsunami and Early Resin Berry which are both extremely aromatic low-THC, high-CBD hemp strains. Sour Space Candy was one of the first CBD varieties I tried so I have a certain fondness for it but even after searching around and trying other strains it's still one of my favorites. So let's give the buds from Plain Jane a try and see how it stacks up...

I decided to order a 7 gram bag and it arrived in less than a couple of weeks (with free shipping for orders that total $30 or more) in a discreet mint green box that contained the bag pictured below. All of the pictures in this article are of the bud from this same order.

Appearance

The buds are light, fluffy, and covered in frosty trichomes. They're pretty well trimmed with no shake in the bag and no sign of any seeds. Bud weights ranged between 0.25 to 1.5 grams. The total weight of the 7 gram order I got ended up being closer to 7.23 grams. So far every order I've gotten from Plain Jane has been slightly more than advertised which I certainly appreciate.

Smell

The smell is bright, sour, and floral with hints of lemony citrus peel and freshly cut grass. There's also a noticeable "petrol" note from the Sour Tsunami parent being a descendent of Sour Diesel. Despite the word "candy" in the name I wouldn't describe the smell as being sweet, it's more of a bright floral citrus zest.

Taste

It hits with a huge burst of flowery petrol funk that really shines in a dry herb vaporizer where you can really taste every layer of the terpenes. It's smooth enough that you can definitely pack a bowl and smoke it but as with most CBD bud my preference is definitely vaping it and starting at lower temperatures to get the full experience.

Effects

This bud is strong but also very well balanced. I don't feel heavy or sedated by it, just chilled out, so it makes for a great midday pick-me-up if you only take a few hits or for bedtime if you hit it a bit harder. In terms of strength, I can clearly feel it after vaping about 1/8 of a gram.

All-in-all Sour Space Candy is still one of my favorite CBD varieties and this particular batch from Plain Jane is some damn good bud.
